We must all maintain a firm belief that trust in those we know, those around us and our institutions is a requirement for a harmonious existence. When we trust each other, good things are bound to happen. When we don’t have it, it seems good things don’t happen. As children we trust our parents and teachers and know that they wish only the best for us. While in the military there are always comrades that could be counted on in any situation. We all have friends that we can reach out to if anything bothers us. These are all relationships build on trust. Somehow I feel that we don’t trust each other as much as we used to. We have lost sight of the fact that we are at our best when we trust each other. Trust is fundamental to everything we do. If trust is present, no challenge is too great and everything is possible. If trust is absent, we end up blaming each other for not getting things done. I humbly appeal to my fellow Americans to trust again. Trust Health Care professionals that they speak the truth. Trust the scientists and their findings and conclusions. Trust that the Covid-19 vaccine is safe and will help us all. Trust the rule of law. Trust election results. And trust only leaders who tell us the truth. If they do that, we in turn trust them. Such bond forged in difficult times permits us to overcome all of our current challenges.
