Many former Trump administration officials have recently criticized his response to the coronavirus. We know from his own words that he was downplaying it. Now we can add Olivia Troye, lead staff member of the WH Coronavirus Task Force, to that list. She left the WH in July and has decided to break her silence. She states that task force members knew that infections would increase and lead to more deaths. Trump didn’t want to hear it since such dire projections would have an adverse impact on his re-election prospects. The only thing the WH released about her story is to cast her as someone who should have spoken out on what she allegedly witnessed. The spokesperson continued: ‘The President wouldn’t say such a thing’. But let us remember that at the current count 26 women have accused him of misconduct and he tries to frame them all as liars. We know that the President says many things and many things he says aren’t true!
